The Following Positions are Available
Reporters
The Reporter will be assigned to at least two assignments, to be determined by the Editor. The reporter will contact their assignments weekly for story ideas. Each reporter is expected to submit a minimum of two articles per issue. The Editor will assign stories for each issue with input from the reporter.
Sports Writers
The Sports Writer will be expected to generate at least two sports stories per issue. The sports writer will also work with the photographer so that the potos will coincide with the article.
Columnists
The Columnist will generate a column and one story for each issue. The reporter will contact the Editor weekly for stroy ideas.
Special Sections Editor
The Special Sections Editor shall be appointed at the discretion of the Editor. Responsibilities include generating story ideas pertinent to their designated beat, writing at least two stories per issue, and assigning reporters stroies that relate to their special section, as well as working with their writers if needed. SSE are also responsible for gathering completed story assignment sheets for their section, and giving them to the assignment editor.
Assignment Editor
The Assignment Editor shall be appointed at the discretion of the Editor. Responsibilities include gather completed story assignment sheets and following up with staff to track progress of assignments.
